The Most Thought Provoking 5 Minute Video You’ve Ever Seen

This video isn’t exactly new, but it’s too thought provoking not to post. It includes facts like, “the 25% of India’s population with the highest IQ’s is greater than the total population of the United States” and “the top 10 in-demand jobs in 2010 did not exist in 2004.” Sony BMG created the video in 2008 to get top execs to think about how they need to adapt to the changing world around us.

Fast Food Ads Versus Reality

It’s typical for commercials to make products appear better than they actually are, but the fast food industry’s level of deception in this area is unmatched. has done some “in depth” research on this topic and the results (in photographic form) are amusing to say the least. See all of the photos here.

How To Open a Banana Like a Monkey

You might think watching someone peel a banana isn’t very interesting, but this video will change your mind. The guy in the video demonstrates how monkeys eat bananas, which consists of pinching the bottom and peeling from there. It absolutely blows my mind that I’ve never seen anyone do this before now. My banana eating habits will forever be changed.

TodayBox Lives!

New LifeTodayBox lives once again. I actually bought this domain over four years ago. Initially only friends and random Googlers stumbled upon the site, but then something happened. In February 2005, Paris Hilton’s cell phone was hacked and some interesting images and celebrity phone numbers from the phone were posted online. Due to a high volume of interest in this content, the original site hosting the phone’s info was down within minutes. I uploaded a mirror to TodayBox and posted the link on TodayBox, as well as Digg, received an enormous amount of traffic. In this BusinessWeek story Kevin Rose (Digg’s founder) says the posting of that story was the first time he saw Digg’s potential.

While exciting for him, the story ended up taking down the shared server I had been using for hosting. My host was less than pleased and immediately killed my account without providing a refund. TodayBox went down that day, and while I continued to renew the domain, I never setup a new blog…until now. Are you ready for the craziness that’s sure to ensue? No? I didn’t think so.
